This project was born two years after I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I am Esther, mountain guide, since I was a child I practiced all kinds of sports, especially adventure sports in nature (canyoning, climbing, caving, trekking, hiking etc ...). Until the disease truncated my life as a sportsman and I stopped doing everything I had always liked, the world came down on me when I was told that the disease would progressively advance.
Several years went by where sleeping and walking were a great effort, arthritis flare-ups appeared successively invalidating my mobility and denting my mind. Defeated by the thought that I would never be my old self again.
I am an optimistic person who always looks forward, and although at first everything was adverse, I surrounded myself with a great team. Liber, a nutritionist, taught me to change my eating habits. I learned to differentiate the foods that soothed the pain and to renounce those that harmed me.
Alessandro,a therapeutic personal trainer, designed a non-injurious exercise program specifically for my condition, working on strength, aerobic and flexibility.
Patricia,a psychologist, carried out a specific psychological approach to my pathology, helping me to manage pain management, self-esteem, functional capacity, etc.
To date, the treatments have stabilized my disease, although I continue to live with symptoms that cause me pain and discomfort. I escape to nature and the environment mitigates my ailments.
All these circumstances and experiences have made us form together with other professionals a great multidisciplinary team to help you improve your quality of life in a healthy, safe and fun way in nature.
There is nothing more important to a person than life and therefore health care.
If I can do it, you can do it!
